Subjectively for Dummies

Subjectively means looking at something from your own perspective or feelings, and it can be a little different for each person. Imagine you're standing in a big room with lots of colorful paintings on the walls. There's a red painting, a blue painting, and a yellow painting. Now, if I ask you which painting is the most beautiful, your answer might be different from mine or from someone else's. Maybe you think the red painting is the most beautiful because you love the color red, but someone else might feel differently and prefer the blue painting. That's because our feelings and opinions are subjective, meaning they come from our own personal thoughts and emotions. It's like having your own unique glasses to see the world through. So, when we say something is subjective, it means that it can vary depending on each individual's thoughts, emotions, and personal experiences. Subjectively can also mean that something is based on personal opinion or is influenced by personal bias. For example, if I say, "I think ice cream is the most delicious dessert," that's my subjective opinion because it's what I personally believe. Another person might think differently and say cake is the most delicious dessert, and that would be their own subjective opinion. So, when we talk about something subjectively, we're talking about using our own thoughts and feelings to form an opinion or make a judgment.
