Possessiveness for Dummies

Possessiveness means that someone is very attached to and protective of something or someone that they consider to be theirs. It's like when you have a favorite toy that you don't want anyone else to play with because you feel like it belongs to you and only you. When you get possessive over something or someone, you might feel jealous or even a little bit jealous when other people want to spend time with that thing or person. It's similar to when you're sharing a special snack with your friends and you feel a bit possessive and don't want them to eat too much of it because you want to save some for yourself. In a way, possessiveness is like putting a little fence around what you think belongs to you and not wanting other people to step inside that fence. Sometimes, people can become too possessive and it can cause problems in their relationships because they might be too controlling or make the other person feel trapped. It's important to find a balance between caring for and cherishing things or people, while also allowing them to have their own space and independence.
