Monolingually for Dummies
What does Monolingually really mean?
Monolingually is a word that we use when we want to describe someone or something that only knows or uses one language. Imagine if you only spoke English and that's the only language you've ever learned or used, then you can say that you are monolingually English-speaking. It's just like being a superhero with one special power, but instead of having the ability to fly or be invisible, your special power is knowing and using just one language. So, monolingually means that you are only able to communicate in one language and you don't have the ability to understand or speak any other languages.
