Grown for Dummies

Imagine a little seed that you plant in the ground. Over time, with the right conditions like sunlight, water, and nutrients, that seed starts to grow into a big, strong tree. Just like the tree, people grow too! We start off as babies, and as we get older, we slowly go through different stages of growth.

When you see an adult, like your parents or teachers, you can say they are grown because they have gone through all those stages of growth. They have come a long way from being a baby, just like that little seed becoming a huge tree.

Now, another meaning of “grown” is when we talk about something that has reached its full size or potential. For example, if you have a small plant and it gets plenty of water, sun, and all the nutrients it needs, it will keep growing until it reaches its full size. So, when we say something is fully grown, it means it has reached its complete or maximum size.

Think about your height: when you were smaller, you were still growing, but now, you might have reached your full height and won't grow any taller. So, now you can say you’re fully grown in terms of your size!
