Bidder is a word that we often hear in different situations, especially when we talk about auctions. But what does it really mean? Think of it this way: Have you ever been to a school fair where they have a silent auction? You know, those tables with different items, like toys or books, and people can write down how much money they are willing to pay for each item? Well, in that situation, a bidder is the person who writes down their name and the amount of money they are willing to pay for a particular item.

So, a bidder is someone who takes part in an auction and offers a certain amount of money to buy something.
