Abolitionary is a word that might be new to you, but don't worry, I'm here to explain it in the simplest way possible. Now, have you ever heard of the word abolish? It means to put an end to something, to get rid of it completely. Well, abolitionary is an adjective that describes something or someone that is related to or involved in the act of abolition.

Imagine you have a toy that you don't like and you want to get rid of it. You could say you want to "aboli-shed" that toy because you don't want it anymore. Similarly, when we talk about someone as being abolitionary, we are saying that they are strongly against something and are actively working to put an end to it.

Let me give you an example to make it clearer. Have you seen movies or read stories about brave people who fought against slavery in the past? These people, like Harriet Tubman or Frederick Douglass, were abolitionaries. They courageously fought to put an end to the terrible practice of slavery and ensure freedom for all. They believed that no person should be treated as property, and their actions helped to change the world for the better.

So, remember, abolitionary is all about people standing up against something they strongly disagree with, and taking action to put an end to it. Just like when you want to get rid of that unwanted toy, but on a much bigger scale.
