Waste for Dummies

Waste is a word that we use to describe things that aren't needed anymore or things that don't have a purpose. It's like when you have leftovers from dinner and no one wants to eat them because they're cold, so you throw them away. That food becomes waste because it's not useful anymore.

But waste can also mean more than just leftover food. It can be things that we use or consume and then throw away, like paper, plastic bottles, or even clothes that we no longer wear. These are all examples of waste because we don't need them anymore, and they can't be used again in the same way.

Sometimes waste can also refer to using too much of something or not using it efficiently. Let's say you have a big bag of candy and you eat it all in one day. That would be a waste because you didn't enjoy it slowly and savor each piece. You used it all up quickly and now you don't have any candy left for later.
