Vertically for Dummies

Vertically is a word we use to describe an up-and-down direction or position. Imagine you are standing on the ground and you want to reach up to touch the sky. If you were to draw a line from the ground to the sky, that line would be going vertically. It's like when you stretch your arms above your head or jump straight up in the air, you are moving in a vertical direction.
