What does Validness really mean?

Validness is a word that we use to describe something that is true, accurate, or correct. It means that something is valid or acceptable and follows the rules or guidelines that have been set. So, if we say that an argument is valid, it means that the reasons and evidence given make sense and are true. If we say that a document is valid, it means that it is legal and can be trusted. When we talk about the validness of a test or an experiment, it means that it is reliable and gives us accurate results.

Let me give you an example to make it clearer. Imagine you and your friends are playing a game, like soccer. To make sure everybody follows the rules of the game, we need to decide on the validness of certain actions. For instance, if somebody kicks the ball with their hands, that is not valid because in soccer you can only use your feet or head to kick the ball. So, we say that it is not valid because it doesn't follow the rules. But if someone scores a goal by kicking the ball into the net with their feet, that is valid because it is within the rules and it counts as a point for their team.

In everyday life, we come across situations where we need to determine the validness of something. For example, when we hear a news story, we might question whether it is valid or not. We might look for evidence or sources that support the story to determine its validness. Similarly, when we take a test at school, the teacher ensures that the questions and answers are valid, meaning that they are accurate and assess our knowledge correctly.

So, all in all, validness is about something being true, accurate, and following the rules or guidelines. It helps us determine whether something can be trusted and relied upon.
