Prohibitively for Dummies

It would be impossible for you to finish all of that work, right? So we can say that the amount of homework you have is prohibitively large. It's so big that it's just not doable in the given time.

Another example could be if you really, really love a certain dessert, like ice cream. Let's say you found a shop that sells that ice cream, but it's located in another country, like on the other side of the world! The distance between you and that shop is prohibitively far because it's so incredibly long that it would be almost impossible for you to travel that far just to get some ice cream.
